I'm sorry to say this one will be short, but this past week went quite well. we met with the Bottini's this week and we've been teaching the husband, moving his understanding closer and closer to baptism. It's easier because his wife is a recent convert so they are technically still learning together. I think also that she is the best fellowship we could find anyways. :P We plan on meeting tomorrow with them as well.
WE got our jeep fixed! ...KINDA! apparently there is still something bent inside of it but it wasn't visible to the guys at Tire rama so they told our car tsar that he would have to find an auto body place to check on that.
To the Ward:
Well hmmm...
Hi ward how is it going? this is Elder Padilla having a great time in Moscow, serving in the Troy/Potlatch branches! As we travel i am always reminded of the scriptures, how the Nephites and Lamanites always moved. It's because they moved to survive, to change, to become more eddified and help others. By helping and serving we move out of our own normal routes and become more involved in the work. Sure it's nice to stay by what we know, but in order to grow we have to always move outwards.
I'm also reminded in a way of the screwtape letters when i type this. In one part Screwtape counsels his nephew to move all the good he does to unimagined people and move the evil he does inwards. We want to do the exact opposite by bringing charity and love into our hearts not into our imagination and putting evil things away from us completely. It takes time but i know that as we practice we become stronger, better and happier.
